PDF & Image to Word
Get editable text out of a PDF, a scan or a photo. LiaBook rebuilds the page in Word with the same columns, tables, bullets, colours and pictures, and gives you the plain text too.

How it works
- PDF with real text: the text, fonts, sizes and positions are read straight from the file, which is the most accurate route.
- Scans and photos: the page is split into regions (side panels, columns, blocks), each region is read with OCR, and the layout is rebuilt from where every line sat on the page.
- Word file: columns, tables, bullets, bold, colours, heading lines and pictures are written into a real .docx you can edit.

Questions people ask
How do I convert a PDF to an editable Word document?
Drop the PDF into the tool and press Convert. If the PDF contains real text, LiaBook rebuilds it directly. If it is a scan, the text is read with OCR. Then download the .docx file.
Can it extract text from a JPG or a photo of a document?
Yes. JPG, PNG and WEBP images are read with OCR. Use a sharp, well-lit, straight photo for the best result.
Does it keep the formatting?
It keeps the reading order, columns, tables, bullet lists, bold text, font sizes, colours, coloured side panels, heading lines and photos. Complex artwork and very unusual layouts may need a little tidying in Word.
Does it support Bangla (Bengali)?
Yes. Choose Bangla or English + Bangla. For PDFs whose Bangla text copies as strange English letters (a legacy font problem), tick "Read the PDF as an image (OCR)".
Are my documents uploaded?
No. Everything runs inside your browser, so your documents never leave your device.
Why are some words wrong?
OCR can misread small, blurry or stylised text. Scan at 300 DPI or take a clear photo, and always proofread names, numbers and dates.
